Lactation
Pam Mallory, LPN, IBCLC
My name is Pam Mallory. I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), pediatric nurse, and postpartum doula. My most important job includes raising two grown children and being a grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren.
I have over 40 years of experience in the pediatric world. I spent several years working in the mother-baby unit, performing newborn checks with Thrive-in-home care and as a private duty night nurse over overnight newborn care.
My love for lactation consulting grew from educating and nurturing many new mothers through the fourth trimester of pregnancy. The time after birth to three months of age, also known as the “4th trimester”, is the most crucial for mom and baby. This time includes the parent(s) and newborn adjusting to the world outside of the womb to what is now becoming a family. Luckily, Mother Nature has given us all of the tools needed to aid us in this lactation journey.
I look forward to helping your family get to the right start on this lactation and feeding journey.
