Telehealth Defined

Telehealth Defined

We are proud to offer Telehealth services (aka virtual visits) to meet our families where they are! If coming to the office is not an option for you right now, we want you to know we can help. We are simply not able to conduct all visits via Telehealth, nor would we recommend that, as there is no substitution for in-person communication with a clinician. The list to the right is to provide greater clarity into some conditions/concerns that are appropriate for Telehealth as supported by the AAP.

Telehealth visits are scheduled during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, and as-needed Saturdays. They are billed the same as an in-person visit. Depending on insurance, there may be a co-pay associated with the visit. If so, we may ask for a co-pay at time of registration or we will mail a statement/invoice from our billing office that can be paid online HERE.

Patients will receive an email or text from our office confirming the date and time of the telehealth visit with instructions for connecting to the scheduled provider. Please ensure you provide us your preferred email address for the visit as well as a preferred phone number we can contact you during the scheduled visit should we experience any technical difficulties. For most Telehealth visits, we request a parent capture the patient’s weight, temperature prior to the visit and to have a flashlight on-hand. Using a private/quiet room with good lighting and a strong Wi-Fi signal is ideal. Please select “join meeting with audio” when prompted to begin the visit and be mindful, providers begin Telehealth visits at the conclusion of a previous visit. Due to the nature of pediatrics, we ask for your patience and understanding that some visits may not begin at the precise scheduled time.
