Our Powhatan Office

Our newest office in Powhatan provides a Well Child Waiting Room and a Sick Child Waiting Room for our patients.

All visits are by appointment. Please keep in mind all times are subject to change due to provider availability.

Our providers believe that adequate time must be available to meet the needs of our patients at each appointment. To meet that belief, we have provided longer visit times than the recommended times for visits by the American Academy of Pediatrics. If you believe you will need even more time for a visit, please advise the receptionist when making an appointment.

Our receptionists are trained to ask the “purpose of the appointment”. This is done to attempt to provide each patient with the time they need at each appointment.

Office hours may also have some seasonal variations, allowing for increased availability during times when there may be a greater need for sick visits or for well child physicals.

*Saturday visits are seen at our Midlothian Village office and should be limited to those children who have become ill within the previous 24 hours and cannot wait until Monday to be seen. Ongoing and long-lasting concerns should wait until the weekday visit times when our providers can more appropriately care for your child.

If it is a medical emergency – Call 911!

If you want to speak to our on-call provider by phone, call the office at any time and leave a message and we typically respond within 30 minutes.

Calls after 3pm might be scheduled for an appointment the next day. In the event the patient cannot be accommodated, the patient or parent is offered the choice to speak with a triage nurse, schedule the next available appointment slot or receive information about alternate after-hours options.
